Understand the Digital SAT

The current SAT consists of two sections:

Reading & Writing
54 questions | 64 minutes

Math
44 questions | 70 minutes

Each section is divided into two modules. Performance in the first module influences the difficulty of the second, making familiarity with the SAT’s adaptive structure an important part of preparation. The total testing time is 2 hours and 14 minutes, excluding the break.

Our course is designed specifically around this digital and adaptive SAT format.

SAT Math Preparation

The Math section is not simply a test of how much mathematics you know. It tests whether you can recognise mathematical structures quickly and apply them efficiently.

The course develops the concepts and strategies needed across the SAT Math domains, with particular attention to recurring question types and common sources of error.

Students work through topics involving:

• algebra
• equations and systems
• functions
• advanced mathematics
• problem-solving and data analysis
• geometry
• trigonometry

Alongside the underlying mathematics, we focus on speed, question interpretation, calculator use and strategy.

The goal is not only to find the correct answer, but to find it efficiently.

SAT Reading & Writing Preparation

The Reading & Writing section combines comprehension, analysis, vocabulary in context, rhetoric and grammar into short, highly focused questions.

Rather than relying on vague ideas such as simply “reading more,” our preparation breaks the section into recurring question types and teaches students how to recognise what each question is actually asking.

Students develop their skills in areas including:

• comprehension
• evidence and inference
• vocabulary in context
• text structure and purpose
• rhetorical synthesis
• transitions
• grammar
• punctuation
• sentence structure

Particular attention is given to eliminating attractive but incorrect answers and identifying the textual or grammatical evidence supporting the correct choice.

Practice that identifies your weaknesses

Practice is most useful when it tells you what to study next.

Throughout the course, students encounter SAT-style questions covering the concepts discussed in class.

Mistakes are analysed by topic and question type so that preparation can increasingly focus on the areas where each student has the greatest opportunity to gain points.

As the exam approaches, the emphasis gradually shifts from individual concepts to timed sections and complete exam practice.

Who is the SAT course for?

• attend international or English-language high schools;
• want structured SAT preparation rather than studying entirely alone;
• are applying to universities in the United States or Europe;

One test, multiple university options

For students considering several universities, the SAT can be particularly useful because the same examination may support applications to institutions in different countries.

In Italy, for example, Bocconi currently accepts the SAT as one of its undergraduate selection tests. Politecnico di Milano recognizes it as an alternative test for certain engineering admission routes, while Politecnico di Torino permits SAT scores as an alternative to the TIL-I for Engineering under its admission rules.

Admission requirements change between academic years, so students should always verify the rules for their intended programme and application cycle.
